Are your Social Media Efforts Converting? Or do you feel like you are posting, posting, posting and have no idea if it is really worth all the effort? I hear ya! This is one of the most common questions I get.
Here are 3 Ways to see if your social media efforts are converting.
#1: Ask.
The #1 way to learn if clients are walking through your door or buying from you is to ask how they heard about you. It can be as simple as asking when they call or having this question on a form they fill out when they first come to you. So, don’t forget to ask!
#2: Set up and Monitor Google Analytics
Google analytics is a free service that you can set up (or you can have your webmaster set up) that will tell you exactly where your traffic is coming from. To view the traffic coming from social media and other sources, go to ‘Acquisition’, then ‘All Traffic’. There is a ton of detail in Google analytics, but that is a very basic way to review. If you are mainly using Facebook, you may see more traffic from there. Whatever social site you are most active on, is where you will normally see the most traffic, but sometimes you may be surprised, then you may need to reorganize your strategy and focus.
#3: Facebook Insights
Many of you are Facebook Page owners. Did you know how much these insights can tell you? It tells you who is most active on your page, times your fans are reached the most and so much more. You should be looking at these insights weekly at minimum to gear your content in the right direction.
